The 2015 Lismore Chamber of Industry and Commerce Business Awards were held at the Lismore Showgrounds on 1 August 2015, with many fantastic local businesses from a diverse range of industries in attendance.
SHOPBABY were the proud recipients of two awards on the night - Retail Business of the Year and Lismore Business of the Year.
As well as being a Blackburn Prior client, SHOPBABY's co-owner Jaime Bates, works 3 days a week as a business services accountant in Blackburn Prior's Lismore office.
Jaime used the submission process for the business awards as an opportunity to refine her business plan and reflect on areas that could be improved.
Jaime says "I have been reviewing the awards criteria for the past three years and making changes to our business in areas I thought we were lagging behind. As a result of this methodical process we've been able to improve our customer offering, implement more robust O,H & S practices and improve conditions for our team, all the while, working toward a healthier bottom line." And of the awards she says "It is an amazing feeling to have your hard work in business recognised in this way. The response from both the business community and our customers has been overwhelming."
