Megan began working with Blackburn Prior in 1994 and completed her Bachelor of Business during the first five years with the company. This gave her the benefit of being able to merge theoretical knowledge with the practical application of accounting from early on in her career. She is also a Member Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Her ability to provide clients with solutions and assistance across extended areas of their business, not just direct accounting and tax related services, and experience in large and complex business group structures has ensured she is a strong asset to the Blackburn Prior team.
Megan spent the first part of her childhood growing up around Lake Macquarie but relocated to a beef and macadamia farm at Newrybar in her late teens. She loves living in the Northern Rivers and fills her weekends with sporting activities and catch-ups with family and friends. At the moment Megan is building a new home so her passion is anything building related, from planning and design to the finishing touches.
When not immersed in construction and design she enjoys reading and watching movies and television series such as Scandal and is involved in the Ballina Surf Club Juniors Committee and is the treasurer for the East Ballina Tintenbar Football Club, where her children are active members.
